About Cindy Gregory
May this marriage be full of laughter, our every day a day in paradise. May this marriage be a sign of compassion, a seal of happiness here and hereafter.
This quote by Rumi describes my wishes for all the couples whose marriages I perform. The sacred union of two in marriage gives all who witness it hope and promise for peace for humankind.
As a former English and Drama teacher, performing weddings combines two of my passions, the written and spoken word. Always attentive to your needs and wishes for your unique ceremony, I draw on my years of experience in writing and creating just the right spirit for your nuptials.
Since 2003, I have traveled all over this beautiful country and have lived in some of the most magnificent places on Earth. From Niagra Falls, where I performed my first wedding, to New Orleans, where I "handfasted" a couple, to the red rocks of Sedona, where I performed a commitment ceremony in a labyrinth, my life has led me to the Bay Area. Beaches, butterflies, and bridges beckoned me here, and I am just beginning to take in the diverse beauty of both the land and the people.
To me, officiating at a couple's wedding is the greatest honor I can receive. It is like being present at a birth; one of trust and hope, an eternal promise written on the couple's love one for another. I am honored to be an officiant of Lyssabeth's and joyfully look forward to many opportunities to witness the birth of "two becoming one".
